MEET JENNIFER STRASBURG


  • 1977  Born at Swedish Hospital in Seattle, WA on November 11 at 11:11 a.m.

  • 1983  Convinces parents to send her to sleep-away camp at age seven, and then cries because they only let her stay for one-week versus the older kids who stay for three.

  • 1991  Elected 8th grade student council president. Campaign slogan: Take Your Pen and Vote for Jen!

  • 1993 Tries out for cheerleading and jumps, kicks and screams for the Newport Knights for two years. Still holds the title for the loudest cheerleader in Washington State.

  • 1995  Attends spring quarter at Alexandar Muss High School in Hod H'Sharon, Israel. Learns 5,000 years of Jewish history, travels the country and eats an obscene amount of falafel and hummus.

  • 1996  Graduates high school and wins "social butterfly" in the senior alphabet.

  • 1996  Attends the University of Wisconsin, Madison and majors in Communication Arts.

  • 1999  Spends second semester of her junior year in Seville, Spain. Travels, shops and eats her way through Europe.

  • 2000  Graduates from UW Madison and moves to New York. Lives in a 200 square foot apartment on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Starts her PR career at Carins & Associates – a boutique beauty agency.

  • 2001  Hears about fashion sample sales and attends at least three sales a month. Fights a woman for the last Diane Von Furstenberg wrap dress in her size (and wins).

  • 2003  Joins Tractenberg & Co. Pitches Sephora Makeovers to American Idol. Each Idol contestant goes into Sephora for a televised makeover on the show.

  • 2004  Moves to Boston, MA and becomes part of the consumer team at Weber Shandwick.

  • 2005  Marries her high school sweetheart in Seattle, WA. They move to San Francisco and she transfers to the Weber Shandwick office there.

  • 2005  Achieves her PR dream of a lifetime: Jennifer personally hands Oprah Winfrey a piping, hot cup of Peet's Coffee during her show titled Breakfast with Oprah.

  • 2006  Jumps at the opportunity to join a new lifestyle marketing agency called Current

  • 2008  Attends the “Get Smart” movie premiere with Subway’s Jared as part the “Tour de Pants,” a celebration of his 10 year anniversary of working with Subway restaurants. Manages to secure at least 20 interviews for him despite the fact that Steve Carell, Anne Hathaway and The Rock are also in attendance.

  • 2009  On behalf of the Clorox Family of Toilet Products, she rallies a group of San Franciscans to fight for their “right to potty” in an effort to catch an outhouse arsonist.
