MEET LISA BROGAN

• 1977  Born on her mother’s birthday in Newport Beach, CA.
  
  
• 1995  Graduates from Santa Margarita High School – can’t wait to say goodbye to the OC. Off to the land of hippies!
  
  
• 1996  After much debate (and hinting from father) on whether to become a business major, figures that if it takes you three times to pass statistics, you might have politics/PR in your future!
  
  
• 1999  Graduates from University of California at Berkeley. Fiat Lux! Moves to Washington, D.C. with college friends. Signs on to work for Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) – job involves long hours, little pay, yet endless entertainment and prestige.
  
  
• 1999  Joins ranks of young Capitol Hill staffers – living on pennies. Learns the cardinal rules of all government parties: Drink as much as you can. Eat as much as you can. Don’t talk to anyone that you didn’t know before you got there.
  
  
• 2002  Leaves the Senate for a non-profit job as press secretary for the American Cancer Society.
  
  
• 2003  Meets future husband and after a good run, not to mention surviving the anthrax scare, DC snipers, Chandra Levy scandal and 9/11, makes the big move to join him in New York City.
  
  
• 2003  Joins Fenton Communications in effort to marry non profit/government background with public relations agency life. Plans events for MoveOn.org – everything from political rallies with Mariah Carey and Russell Simmons to speeches on global warming by Al Gore.
  
  
• 2004  Joins Zeno Group. Works on consumer healthcare products – launches blockbuster sleep drug Lunesta and First Response pregnancy tests’ partnership with March of Dimes.
  
  
• 2005  Fiancé convinces Lisa to move to his hometown of Chicago. Transfers with Zeno Group.
  
  
• 2005  Launches National Anthem Project from steps of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. Kudos: live feed with Good Morning America, cover of Life section of USA Today, and CNN.
  
  
• 2006  Becomes group manager at Current, leading teams on Step2 Toys, Varilux and Uncle Ben’s.
  
  
• 2007:  Yet another move – this time surprising as it involves a trip back to Southern California. (Yes, husband realized he wasn’t stuck with Midwest winters!) Opens Los Angeles for Current and enjoys more in person time with Uncle Ben’s client.
  
  
• 2008:  Daughter Anna Sophia is born (a perfect combination of her mother’s good looks and father’s easy going personality…ha!)
  
  
• 2009:  Promoted to director and continues the rewarding life of a working mom!
