MEET CHRIS CRADDUCK


  • 1977   Born in San Bernardino, CA to a young couple living the Air Force life and dreaming of a commercial airline gig.

  • 1977   Ends very brief stint in California; moves with family to Dallas, TX as father lands said commercial airline gig.

  • 1983   Dreams of following in father's footsteps are crushed when horrible case of nearsightedness is discovered (note: pre-Lasik era).

  • 1987   Begins dreaming of becoming a radiologist for no apparent reason and abandons the dream for the very same reason.

  • 1988   Places third in the state for all-around gymnastics championship; begins pursuing the Olympic dream and a life of sports-related luxury.

  • 1989   Ankle troubles stifle the Olympic career, but a new-found affinity for writing emerges.

  • 1990   Writes first of several hundred poems, short stories and (again for no apparent reason) country songs.

  • 1992   Rides the bench for high-school baseball team, further emphasizing that an athletic career is not in the cards; begins focus on sports broadcasting career to stay in the game.

  • 1995   Graduates in top of the class, and in direct contraction to some hint of intelligence, decides to pursue sports broadcasting career at a school without a broadcasting degree.

  • 1998   Interns with local sports station interviewing local talent and writing scripts for evening broadcasts; introduced to what is known as a bombardment of press releases.

  • 1999   Graduates Summa Cum Laude from Texas A&M University and decides to pursue a career on the other side of the press release.

  • 1999   Hired by BSMG Worldwide (later known as Weber Shandwick) as an account coordinator in the burgeoning tech and consumer practices.

  • 2000  Promoted five times while running PR and integrated communications programs for corporate, consumer and tech clients such as American Airlines, Microsoft and Sprint.

  • 2003   Published for the first time, winning the USA Today daily haiku contest.

  • 2004   Completes first book entitled Feeling More Like I Do Now Than I Did When I Got Here, which focused on social commentary from some no-name writer in Texas.

  • 2006   Marries beautiful and talented wife and settles in the White Rock area of Dallas.

  • 2007   Promoted to vice president and presented with an opportunity to grow the corporate and consumer tech practice of Current, managing key clients such as Hitachi and Qwest.

  • 2009   Manages growing corporate and consumer tech practice, including corporate B2B, consumer, labor, diversity, grassroots and community event programs.
